Admin two groups I also in other groups. We had our first auto report last night. Nobody who saw it thought it offensive. It’s a fun banter chat group. Never had any pics reported. Lady in question wouldn’t b type to post offensive material. She was very upset. It took me ages try explain why we removed the photo. I and others planning join Twitter and hope somebody creates another site and sll leave Fb to fail.
Almost correct, my friend deactivated their account. However, I can reply to messages on messenger on my laptop (when on Facebook), but NOT when on my android phone. Weird, right?
Sorry FB your suggestions are ridiculous. I was chatting FINE using Chat. The person I am engaged talking to has def not left FB (that’s why we’re talking). Wonder if I can remove Messenger and return to Chat.
I have just had the same issue and found how to fix it.
I had two friends unable to reply to my messages on messenger app yet they could from their computer.
You need to delete you chat history with the person in your messenger app and they need to do the same as well.

@Hiya: This worked for me, too. Same problem – I only couldn’t reply one person, all of a sudden, while this person was able to message me normally. I only had to delete conversation history myself.

If your service provider is not responsible, I guess any of the above reasons should apply to why you can reply to a comment on Facebook.
If someone blocks me does it show “u cant reply to this conversation ” on their facebook messenger as well?
Well, none of those 3 scenarios apply for me. I was in the middle of a conversation and all of a sudden I started getting the “You can’t reply to this message” error. I know she didn’t block me, or delete her account. I deleted our whole conversation, still getting it. All the mean while, she was still sending me messages and I can see them, I just can’t reply. I tried sending messages to other people like My daughter, and best friend, I get the same error message. I’m getting it for everyone in my contacts lists. I wasn’t in a group chat either. And when I tried the option to get help it also says that updateing to the latest version might fix it, I’m already updated, so that’s not it either. Can someone PLEASE help me? I can’t find anything to fix This problem and I really need to get it fixed. This is the only way I get to video chat with My Grandchildren.

I totally agree with your reasons. Because aside from service interruption, I see no reason why one can’t reply to a message on Facebook.
I’m getting the same issue…. I have some msgs which I can’t read and I’m getting the “you can’t reply to conversation” error. I have tried everyone on my msger. Everyone same msg…. I can’t read msgs being sent to me either as when I click it takes me to a blank screen with error msg.
