Trying to log into my FB account, first thing…I had previously forgot my FB password and after several attempts I remembered it…so I go to log in but FB wants to do a security confirmation and opted me 2 choices receive a code via text or use some FB friends to help. So I opted to use text, but when I look at my computer screen I saw that the phone number they are using is no longer used by me. Funny thing is when I logged into FB on my phone it did the same thing BUT I received the code via email thus I was successful in logging into FB via my cell phone. But on my computer it’s a different story. What can I do to resolve this oh so frustrating problem? Thanks in advance.
I can’t confirm my phone number on Facebook because I no longer use that number. Yet there appears to be NO help whatsoever from FB. It’s ridiculous.. just going round in circles in the hope FB might actually care. It’s not rocket science; I can provide my security question but FB is impossible to reach let alone get a straightforward response. So well done, guys. You disabled an account for “spam” and yet I don’t recall spamming. You give a single option to verify my identity, namely to send a code to a non-existent SMS. That’s it. Noting else. Zip. You MUST be aware of such issues. I can’t even contest the action taken against me because I can’t even log-in but there again.. how else could someone at the other end abuse this system in order to ban people they don’t personally like?!
