When I have tried using this feature on May 1st 2016, I discover it did not work. When I was informed by Facebook, I thought it was a malicious Email and I have deleted it.
It would have been convenient to keep that functionality.
Now I have to ask to each friends connected with me via Facebook to give me their personal Email addresses.

For the record, any email originating from a @fb.com address or @facebookmail.com are not malicious, are genuine and legitimately owned/operated by Facebook for support and marketing communications. So next time, don’t disregard such important email communication.
The FBtutorial team also thinks Facebook should have continue providing the automatic email forwarding service, for those that truly need and make use of it. But who knows, Facebook may be planning to roll out a new email service and needed to get rid of the email forwarding in order to achieve that. Time will tell. This is Internet of Things era.
